In September 2020, the Abolitionist Law Center and the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project filed a class action lawsuit against the jail.  The suit alleges that ACJ violates the constitutional rights of incarcerated individuals with psychiatric disabilities as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act. On February 16, 2023, two redacted expert reports were entered into evidence by the plaintiff. You can read and download them below.
